Annelise is an Afro-Latina designer and textile artist currently pursuing an MFA in Fiber and Material Studies at SAIC. My practice is based around my mixed race/ethnicity as a African-American and Latina woman, implied stereotypes, and how the history of both my cultures influences my work and life as a designer. She uses domestic and homely materials to create approachable work that references difficult topics.
